SO Sorry I haven't posted before this! Our daughter, Makenna Raine, was born to us two weeks ago! I kept wanting to do this, but never got around to it! So sorry if you were still waiting for news!
We love our little girl...she is a very good baby thus far....I hardly know what to do with myself...I just haven't had babies like this before! The kids adore her and want to hug, hold and kiss her constantly(which can be trying at times):>):>) :>) But we can not complain...this transition has been so much better than I ever expected.

Still waiting.......................................................
I have 6 more days until my due date. I haven't been pregnant this long since I was pregnant with Kaila, so this feels like I'm overdue!
I'm really trying to be patient.....I admire all you who usually go past your due date. How do you remain sane??
Tomorrow I have a midwife appointment and she said she'll strip my membranes for me this week. Usually that makes you go into labor 1-2 days after that, so hopefully I will have a baby by this weekend!
I'm soooo excited to meet this little person in me I can barely stand it!
I've been trying to keep myself busy by having projects to do everyday like organizing my closets etc.
Lord, help me realize that this WILL end and I won't be pregnant forever!
The kids are so excited to see if it will be a boy or girl. They can't wait to wake up and see that Grandma is here.....that means mommy is having the baby!!

Soon, Baby, Soon!
Only 4 weeks to go....(but most likely sooner, for me)
My midwife said the baby has dropped and it's head is as far down as it can go....so when I go into labor it most likely won't take too long. Jemiah's labor was only 3 hours...yikes! I hope it doesn't go too much faster, or I'll be joining Jess in her car adventure! :>)
I'm soooo ready to have this baby, although I don't have my bags packed or anything organized in our room yet. It's funny how with the first one, you have everything ready months before the due date...now I'm pushing the deadline with this one! :>)
In other news...Kaila turns 7 on Thursday. I can't believe I will have a 7 year old under my roof! Are we getting older or what? it just feels like a few years ago that we were on the beach retreat with the youth group!!:>) Crazy! Everyone has been telling me it flies by, but I never expected it to go this fast....it feels like I traveled forward in time or something. But I am enjoying the life that God has blessed me with. He has been so faithful...guiding us in each decision we have had to make. He is my rock and I can only pray that I remain as faithful to him as he has remained to me no matter what may come my way.
I know so many people right now that are really struggling in so many areas of their lives, and it breaks my heart. I guess no one said that life here on earth will be easy, but I pray that through all the struggles, we can keep coming back to the promises of God and the fact that he is still God, and he is still on his throne. Lift up your people O God, and bring healing to their situations....miracles....we pray for miracles, that only you may receive all the glory.

Random shots from our days at home:
32 weeks pregnant....6-8 more to go! (I ususally go two weeks early)
Loving Sisters...Kaila - 7 in January, Savanna - 5 in March
Jemiah - learning letters already -he will be 3 in January. My kids are growing up so fast! Sometimes I just have to stare at them like I don't know where they came from! They are sooo big!
Daddy was in the mood for cookies....oh, and so were the kids:>) They LOVE helping in the kitchen. Sometimes that's nice, and sometimes it makes everything take so much longer, but I always try to accomodate it because it's such a good bonding time, and I want them to have a love for cooking and creating.
waiting for them to bake! They always yell....turn on the oven light!...as soon as I stick anything in there. :>)
The wonderful snow fall this year....we are hoping for a "bad" winter...sorry for all those out there that don't like the snow! My kids have been wanting some good sledding and snowman snow for a while...and I'm kind of ready for a good snow year too!
This is Daddy's kind of playing...Daddy's are so important, they bring something to a family that no mother can......
Well, that is a glimpse into the Burkholder family. We are all excited for our new addition the end of January. We all think it would be nice to have a brother for Jemiah's sake, but will gladly welcome a little girl bambino too!
